Ferrari chairman Sergio Marchionne was unhappy with the team's performance during the Chinese Grand Prix, team principal Maurizio Arrivabene has revealed.
Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen collided at the first corner but recovered to finish second and fifth behind Mercedes' Nico Rosberg.
Ferrari have failed to beat Mercedes in either qualifying or race conditions this season and are already 53 points behind their rivals in the Constructors' Championship and Marchionne is concerned about the lack of progress they have made.
"He knows motor racing so of course he was not happy as I was not happy," Arrivabene said after speaking to Marchionne.
"He saw the race and in certain circumstances what can you do? You can say many things but there's nothing that you can do, not either to the team, or the car, things happen and you have just got to accept it. Of course he was not happy.
"By the way if he was happy I would be asking myself is he a real president."
