15 All-Star nominations for Tipperary

Tipperary duo Pádraic Maher and Séamus Callanan and Waterford’s Austin Gleeson have been nominated for the Hurling Player of the Year.

Maher and Callanan played a starring role in Tipperary's All-Ireland SHC success and they will battle it out for the Hurler of the Year prize along with Gleeson, who helped Waterford to the semi-finals. Gleeson is also shortlisted for the Young Player of the Year alongside Waterford team-mate Shane Bennett and Tipperary's Ronan Maher.

Tipperary dominated the nominations with 15 players shortlisted for the GAA/GPA Opel All Stars team, while Waterford are next best with nine.

Beaten All-Ireland finalists Kilkenny have eight players nominated with Galway (6), Clare (3), Wexford (2), Limerick (1) and Cork (1) also represented.
