Alice Springs claims Matron Stakes
Aiden O’Brien trained Alice Springs dashed home in the last 100 yards to claim the Coolmore Fastnet Rock Matron Stakes at Leopardstown.
Jockey Ryan Moore was happy to sit at the back of the field whilst Creggs Pipes made most of the running from Jet Setting.
Moore was able to hold off a late challenge from Frankie Dettori and Persuasive and was able to kick clear to win by three lengths and a quarter.
Persuasive will be one to watch on after giving a firm account on its first group one race, the French trained Qemah finished third, a length and a quarter behind Dettori.
