Arsenal in the dark over Ramsey

Arsenal have yet to discover the full extent of Aaron Ramsey's thigh injury.

Ramsey was injured during Arsenal's FA Cup fifth round win at Hull and early indications were that the problem could see him miss up to six weeks.

When asked about the extent of the injury, Wenger admitted the club have yet to learn how serious the problem is.

"There is a small alert, we don’t know how bad it is," he said.

Ramsey was one of several players who picked up injuries in the defeat of Hull with Per Mertesacker forced off following a clash of heads with Nick Powell.

Gabriel was withdrawn following an aerial challenge but Wenger is hopeful both players could be available for the weekend's game against Watford.

"Mertesacker and Gabriel are very positive, there is nothing wrong there, they are both good," he said.

Laurent Koscielny, meanwhile, is making progress in his recovery from a calf injury but Sunday's game could come too soon for him.

"He is not far, he will have tests until Sunday, but it could come too soon. He has a little chance," he said.
