Italian striker Mario Balotelli has described moving to Liverpool as “the worst mistake of my life”.
The controversial former Manchester City man scored just four goals in 28 appearances for the Anfield outfit after arriving for £16m in the summer of 2014.
He quickly fell out of favour with then-manager Brendan Rodgers and was loaned out to AC Milan for the whole of last season.
He returned to the club this summer but new boss Jurgen Klopp quickly made it clear that the Italian international did not figure in his plans and he signed for Nice on a free transfer on deadline day.
Balotelli, who scored twice on his Ligue 1 debut on Sunday as Nice beat Marseille, is bitter about his time on Merseyside.
“It was the worst mistake of my life," he said.
"Apart from the fans, who were fantastic with me, I must be honest, and the players, who I had a good rapport with, I didn't like the club.
"I had two coaches, Brendan Rodgers and Jurgen Klopp. As people they didn't make a good impression on me. I didn't get along with them."
