Joey Barton has been suspended for three weeks by Rangers following a training ground bust-up.
Barton was told to stay away from the club's training ground last after he was involved in a heated argument with team-mate Andy Halliday as a result of comments he made in the wake of Rangers 5-1 defeat to Celtic in the Old Firm derby.
He met with manager Mark Warburton and board members on Monday morning where he was informed of his suspension.
"Joey Barton has today been suspended by the club and will not return to Ibrox or Auchenhowie for a period of three weeks," a club statement read.
"The manager, Mark Warburton, and club believe that time and space is required for both the club and the player to assess all that has happened.
"Neither party will make any further statement or comment on this issue."
