Hector Bellerin hopes to be back in time for the busy Christmas and New Year period after revealing his recovery from injury is going 'better than expected'.
Bellerin was ruled out for four weeks after he suffered ankle ligament damage during the 1-1 draw with Tottenham on November 6.
Arsenal are due to play Manchester City on December 19 and, while he faces a race to be fit for the Etihad Stadium, the Spain international is confident he will be available for the festive period.
"It's going really good. Better than I expected. It is a hard injury to recover from and a bit painful," Bellerin told the Daily Mirror.
"But I am going to try to be running from this week and hopefully I'll be back on the pitch in less than four weeks."
Arsenal are due to play West Brom, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth between December 26 and January 3.
