Berg plays down Sweden row

John Guidetti and Albin Ekda in training-ground row

Sweden striker Marcus Berg has played down a training-ground altercation between international team-mates John Guidetti and Albin Ekda.

Guidetti also argued with assistant trainer Peter Wettergren during Friday's session, prompting the Swedes to decide not to open Saturday's session to the media.

However, Sweden press officer Niklas Bodell insisted the decision to close the training session was to allow coach Erik Hamren to work on tactics with his squad ahead of Monday's Group E opener against Ireland at the Stade de France in Paris.

Berg, who could start up front alongside captain Zlatan Ibrahimovic against the Irish, says players often fall out on the training ground and downplayed the incident.

"It happens in the club side every day," Panathinaikos striker Berg said.

"It doesn't happen in the national team that often, but it does happen occasionally in small-sided games.

"There are bad losers -- and bad winners who mock them. Some take it harder than others."
