Ulster captain Rory Best is a doubt for Sunday's Pro14 play-off against Ospreys at Kingspan Stadium with a hamstring injury.
Ireland hooker Best, 35, injured a hamstring in training on Tuesday and will undergo further scans this week.
Best played just 10 games for Ulster this season because of injury and international commitments, but featured in the last four matches of the Pro 14 regular season.
Head coach Jono Gibbes has also confirmed that British and Irish Lions' lock Iain Henderson will miss the game on Sunday with the knee injury he sustained in the province's final Pro14 game of the regular season, the 24-24 draw with Munster at Thomond Park on 28 April.
The winner of the play-off in Belfast will secure the seventh and final qualifying place for next season's European Champions Cup.
Ulster finished fourth in Conference B while Ospreys finished fifth in Conference A, but the Welsh side qualified for the play-off in place of South African side the Cheetahs, who finished third but are not eligible to play in the Champions Cup.
