Slaven Bilic has called on his West Ham side to put the disappointment of their FA Cup exit behind them as they prepare to face Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
Having produced a good defensive display against Manchester United - it took Jose Mourinho's men until the 63rd minute to find a way through - the Hammers looked a different side as they welcomed Manchester City to the London Stadium in the FA Cup.
City were rewarded a penalty just after the half-hour mark and Yaya Toure's strike from the spot opened the floodgates for the visitors as netted five times to easily account for the Hammers.
While disappointed to exit the FA Cup at the third round stage, Bilic believes his players will have to work on their confidence ahead of Saturday's game against fellow strugglers Crystal Palace.
"The same players played really well a few days ago, with ten men. We showed how we could defend as a team, even with ten men, so we have a good quality within our team," Bilic told the club's official website.
"We have to come back from this against Palace next week.
"Always when you have a big defeat it affects confidence, but we have enough days to work, get that confidence back and be ready for Palace."
