Bolt runs 9.95 seconds in Monaco
Usain Bolt ran 9.95 seconds to win the 100m event at the Monaco Diamond League on Friday evening.
The time was the Jamaican eight-time Olympic gold medalllist’s first sub-ten second time this year as he beat out Isaia Young of the US in 9.98 and Akani Simbine of South Africa in 10.02.
CJ Urah of Team GB ran 10.02 in fourth.
The race served as part of Bolt’s last warm-up for his final major track event in the World Championships in August when he will run the 100m and 4x100m, before retiring from the sport.
