Swansea manager Bob Bradley is keen to strengthen his squad in the January transfer window.
The Swans have struggled this season but moved off the bottom of the Premier League table with a 3-0 win over Sunderland on Saturday and they will be hoping to build on the victory when they face West Brom and Middlesbrough over the next four days.
With the transfer window due to open in just under three weeks Bradley has spoken to the club's owners about how to improve the squad and wants those discussions to continue to ensure they are ready to enter the transfer market.
"We still feel we can use it [January] to improve our squad and discussions need to continue," Bradley told BBC Radio Wales Sport. "The discussions have been consistent.
"As a manager in a period where the team is really trying to fight back from a difficult start, the best thing that can happen is to see important players step onto the field and play well and that sets the one for everyone else."
Bradley has only won two of his eight games in charge since succeeding Francesco Guidolin but despite his club's struggles the former United States coach believes they have improved.
"We showed signs of good football in the previous seven games [before the win against Sunderland] but not always in a consistent enough manner," he added.
"Confidence is still important and with results, we're trying to see if we can build up that confidence."
