Broken nose for Walsh

Cork look set to be without Aidan Walsh for the Allianz Hurling League Division 1A clash with Dublin in two weeks.

Walsh broke his nose during the second half of Cork's game against Waterford on Saturday night and is a doubt for March 5 game at Croke Park.

"Aidan has a broken nose, we're not sure what the prognosis will be as regards how long he'll be out, a minimum of four weeks anyway," Cork selector Pat Ryan said.

Walsh was forced off in the 58th minute after being hit in the face but Ryan insists there was nothing untoward with the challenge.

"It was a high hurley and the end of it went through the mask. I don't think it was anything malicious," Ryan stated.
