Tipperary have an injury concern over star forward Seamus Callanan after their All-Ireland quarter-final victory over Clare.
Callanan was pivotal to Tipp, weighing in with seven points in their 0-28 to 3-16 qualifier win at Pairc Ui Chaoimh on Saturday, before being forced from the field late in the tie.
Tipperary manager Ryan says the medical team will confirm whether the Drom-Inch forward will be available for the semi-final against Galway at Croke Park on 6 August.
"Seamus Callanan has ice on his elbow, to be honest after that I don’t know," said Ryan. "The initial news I got on the sideline was that his fingers were in trouble – does that mean broke, I honestly don’t know.
"The medics will be all over it. We’ll know for sure within 24 hours."
Tipp struggled against Clare for large periods and the defending All-Ireland champions will need to display far more if they are to to successfully retain the Liam MacCarthy Cup, although Ryan insisted their decision not to have a practice run in the newly-opened Pairc Ui Chaoimh did not affect their performance.
“The overriding feeling here is total relief to have got through," he said.
"Clare got six unanswered points in-a-row, had the gap down to one and that was the tipping point of the game. Thankfully it just tipped back in our favour so we’re delighted.
"That didn't impact the guys at all [not having a practice run]. We actually didn't come down as a team beforehand.
"I was actually down here myself on Wednesday morning with work but it's exactly as I described, it's Croke Park-esque.
"I was really impressed by the quality of the pitch. That was our first time to get on it and it was really good. I think it will be a fantastic stadium going forward."
