West Ham have signed Argentine striker Jonathan Calleri on a season-long loan.
Manager Slaven Bilic confirmed at his weekly press conference that the club were close to signing the striker and he has now agreed personal terms with the Premier League outfit.
Calleri will link-up with is new club after representing his country at the Rio Olympics, subject to international clearance.
“We have agreed to sign Calleri. Unfortunately for him, but good for us, Argentina were knocked out of the Olympics this week, so he should be here with us pretty soon, depending on the work permit," Bilic said.
"We did the deal a little while ago, and he is a top striker. You need a squad, of course, but it is all about the balance. I think we have a good balance.”
Calleri scored 12 goals in 17 appearances for Sao Paulo last season.
