Plymouth Argyle midfielder Graham Carey says he was "almost singing along to 'You'll Never Walk Alone'" ahead of their FA Cup third-round goalless draw at Liverpool.
Liverpool fan Carey, whose extra-time winner at Newport last month sent Argyle into the third round, was watched by "17 or 18" of his family as the League Two side secured a famous draw and a replay against Jurgen Klopp's side at Home Park next week.
"I wish I had a scarf on!" the Dubliner told BT Sport 1.
"I have come here as a fan, and had the chills on the back of my neck, and it was no different today.
"We stuck to the game plan and frustrated them, and thoroughly deserve the replay.
"The character and work rate we showed today was unbelievable. The atmosphere has been brilliant and it will be the same when they come to our place. "
Liverpool now face nine matches between New Year's Eve and 31 January, but Reds' manager Jurgen Klopp says he does not regret selecting an inexperienced line-up, the youngest in Liverpool's history with five teenagers in the starting eleven and an average age of 21 years and 296 days.
"As a manager you make a decision, you guys can criticise but I thought about it before the game and it is all good," the German told BT Sport 1.
"It is not the result we wanted obviously but it is not frustrating because that is football.
"Today's side is not a fine-tuned side and they lost patience too early.
"We played very well in the first half, we played good football but we tried to force it at times and didn't play the right ball."
