Carroll's injury woes continue

Andy Carroll has been ruled out of West Ham's FA Cup fifth round tie against Blackburn.

Carroll has been plagued by injuries during his West Ham career and his woes show no sign of abating after he suffered an adductor injury following his introduction from the bench during West Ham's 2-2 draw at Norwich.

He had only just returned from a hamstring problem when he picked up his latest injury and he will not travel with the rest of the squad for Sunday's clash at Ewood Park.

"Andy has a slight injury and will be rested for the game against Blackburn," West Ham co-chairman David Gold wrote on Twitter.

Carroll's injury problems mean he has started just 31 Premier League games in his two-and-a-half years at West Ham.
