Nacer Chadli is expected to be available after the international break despite undergoing a knee operation.
Chadli missed the Baggies defeat of Leicester last weekend and he was subsequently withdrawn from the Belgium due to the problem.
He has undergone a minor operation to trim away cartilage but it is hoped he will be fit for the visit of Burnley on Monday week.
"He’s doing pretty well. He had a bit of wear and tear around the meniscus on his knee. In the Manchester City game he wasn’t quite at 100 per cent," West Brom's director of performance Dr Mark Gillett said.
"With this being the last international break before the winter we wanted to get it done so he went for surgery in Belgium which has gone extremely well.
"He should be available for selection for the Burnley game. He’s progressing well and he’s in contention. Whether he’s picked for that game after the last result we’ll wait and see.
"We’ve let him go back to Belgium with someone we know quite well. We’ve been keeping in video contact with him, but he’s back this weekend.
"Every international break there’s a lot of players away. It’s motivating for them, to go back home. It helps his recovery, helps his state of mind. That sense of well-being is always really helpful."
Saido Berahino, meanwhile, is due to return to training on Friday after taking part in an intense four-day fitness camp in France.
West Brom manager Tony Pulis placed the striker, who netted 20 goals in all competitions during the 2014-15 season but just four times last term, on a personal fitness plan last month after club tests found he was eight pounds above his ideal weight.
The 23-year-old has not featured for West Brom since 10 September but he is due to return to training ahead of the game against Burnley.
"He's due back in the training ground on Friday. We have video contact with Saido and the people out there. He’s worked extremely hard this week," Dr Gillett confirmed.
"It’s been at a pre-season level of intensity. He’s committed 100 per cent.
"He’s a good trainer, his athletic ability is unbelievable, from our perspective he’s an incredible athlete.
"The thing about Saido is he’s got a lot of natural gifts. I think his biggest outstanding gift is his power to weight ratio is unbelievable.
"Even if he’s backing into Robert Hurth or Wes Morgan, the way he holds the ball for someone of his size is incredible.
"The trade off is he does tend to put on weight a little bit easier than other players.
“It’s a minor thing, if any player doesn’t look after themselves for three or four days you can see the difference.
“But he’s very enthusiastic and we couldn’t be happier with how it’s gone.”
