Christy Ring Cup replay agreed

The Christy Ring Cup final replay has been scheduled for June 25 at Croke Park.

Meath were presented with the trophy after their 2-18 to 1-20 win over Antrim on Saturday but there was a miscalculation with the scoreline - the teams drew 2-17 to 1-20.

The Central Competitions Control Committee ordered a replay to take place this weekend at Pairc Esler in Newry only for the Meath County Board to reject the proposed date.

The CCCC met on Thursday morning to discuss the situation and have moved the replay to June 25 at Croke Park.

"The Central Competitions Control Committee met this morning to consider a formal request from the Meath County Committee for a postponement of the Christy Ring Cup Final Replay between Meath and Antrim scheduled for this Saturday evening, June 11th," a statement confirmed.

“Given the unique circumstances involved, the C.C.C.C. agreed to postpone the game. It will now take place on Saturday, June 25th in Croke Park at 5pm.”
