Churchill maintained his winning form after claiming the Dubai Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket, leaving Aiden O’Brien 5 wins off Bobby Frankel’s record number of 25 Grade 1 winners.
The juvenile was defeated on his debut, but has won his last four outings, claiming the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot and last month's National Stakes at the Curragh.
Ryan Moore, on the 8-11 favourite, settled into the race in midfield whilst stable-mate Lancaster Bomber set the pace early on.
Despite there been a minor scare after Moore had to switch wide, Churchill made all the running, crossing the line by a length and a quarter, with 66-1 Lancaster Bomber finishing second to complete a 1-2 for O’Brien.
Winning jockey Moore feels Churchill will only improve and tipped him to partake in the Guineas.
Moore said: "He was always going to win. He's a very, very good colt.
"It wasn't as evenly-run as it should have been, but this lad has got an awful lot in his favour.
"There's not a lot he can't do. When I ask him, he always finds.
"He's definitely a Guineas horse. I think he'll get better. He's one to look forward to."
