Wales manager Chris Coleman has highlighted his side’s clash with Ireland at the Aviva Stadium in March as the one that will put their World Cup qualification challenge back on track.
The Welsh trail Ireland by four points in Group D following a 1-1 home draw against Serbia in Cardiff last night and know a win in Dublin would put them firmly back in contention to take the sole automatic qualifiication spot from the group.
Speaking following the Serbia tie, Coleman said: "We know it's going to be tough but we're well capable of going there and getting a result. We know that, we've proven that in the past.
"We're going to go into a fantastic atmosphere at the Aviva Stadium and Ireland are playing on the front foot, playing with confidence - they deserve to be top.
"It's the best game. We couldn't have picked a better one. It's going to be a fantastic challenge for us and we look forward to that."
Wales talisman Gareth Bale - who netted to give Wales the lead against Serbia, before the Balkan side pulled back level with an Aleksander Mitrovic goal late in the tie – said his team had plenty left to give in the qualification fight.
"We have to keep fighting," said Bale."We believe we can still do it. We need to keep working hard, keep doing the things we do and we will get a bit of luck at some point."
