Conway and Ryan sign new contracts

Conway has signed a two-year extension

Andrew Conway and John Ryan have both committed their futures to Munster after they agreed new deals with the IRFU, which will see them remain with at Thomond Park until 2018 and 2019 respectively.

Conway has signed a two-year extension, while Ryan has penned a three-year deal with the province.

24-year-old Conway, who has scored 11 tries in 42 appearances since joining Munster at the start of the 2013/2014 season, has represented Ireland at U20s, Wolfhounds and Emerging Ireland levels.

Ryan progressed through the provincial age-grades before joining on a development contact in 2011 and has made 62 appearances for the Reds.

The 27-year-old played in Emerging Ireland's Nations Cup winning campaign in Romania in June 2014.

"It is great to continue with the good news on the contract front and we are very happy to see Andrew and John commit their futures to Munster,” said Munster head coach Anthony Foley.

"Andrew has come in showing us what he is capable of and watching him develop within the squad has been great to see, while in the pack John continues to excel in the front row, alternating between two difficult positions.

"Both players provide a level of versatility that is hugely beneficial to the squad."
