Daniel Cormier will fight former middleweight champion Anderson Silva on the UFC200 card on Saturday.
Cormier had been scheduled to fight Jon Jones in the main event at UFC200, but the fight was cancelled when Jones was pulled from the card due to a potential anti-doping violation.
With just two days notice, Silva has accepted an invitation to fight Cormier in a three-round non-title light heavyweight bout.
"Anderson is giving Daniel the opportunity to fight, to make money and to perform on UFC 200," UFC president Dana White told a news conference. "So if Anderson wants three rounds, if Anderson wants two rounds, he'll get it.
"I think it's an interesting, fun fight. Anderson Silva is undefeated at 205, and not just undefeated, but devastatingly undefeated. Every time he's moved up to 205, he's looked better than he did at 185."
Silva has not fought since he lost to Michael Bisping in February but he is confident he will be ready for Saturday's bout in Las Vegas.
"I haven't trained in a few months, but I think I'm in good condition to go in there and put on a good fight," Silva told the news conference.
