Courtois finalises Real deal

Thibaut Courtois has completed his move to Real Madrid from Chelsea.

Courtois had a year remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge but he did not report for pre-season training this week as he looked to push through a move to Real.

Chelsea made it clear they would only let the goalkeeper leave if they found a suitable replacement and the arrival of Kepa Arrizabalaga from Atlethic Bilbao paved the way for the Belgium international to complete his move.

The 26-year-old has signed a six-year contract to join the Spanish giants with the club confirming the news via a video on their official Twitter feed.

Croatia international Mateo Kovacic will join Real Madrid on a season-long loan as part of the deal involving Courtois.
