Courtois targets silverware

?Thibaut Courtois believes Chelsea must reach the final of either the Champions League or FA Cup if they are to salvage their season.

The reigning Premier League champions are currently 13th in the table, 17 points adrift of fourth-placed Manchester City with just 13 games left to play.

Interim manager Guus Hiddink has overseen 10-match unbeaten run in all competitions since taking over from Jose Mourinho and while climbing the table remains a top priority, Courtois believes the club must the FA Cup and Champions League.

"We've had too many draws to climb the [Premier League] table. In other games, like against Watford and West Brom, we should have won, so it's a pity because we could have maybe been ninth or eighth but we are where we are," the goalkeeper told the club's official website.

"The Newcastle game next week is a very important one where we have to get the three points. We've had too many draws at Stamford Bridge and the supporters deserve a victory.

"After that we play in the Champions League and FA Cup against two great sides [Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City] and we have to try to win those games because the only way to save our season is to reach the final in one or both of them."
