Deadline-day round-up: Brady completes record move to Burnley

Ireland International Robbie Brady has completed his move to Burnley for a club record fee of £13million, in what was a quite January deadline day for the "big hitters" in the Premier League.

The former Hull City midfielder signs a three-and-a-half-year contract and links up with International team-mates, Stephen Ward and Jeff Hendrick.

Norwich allowed the midfielder to leave after finding cover in the shape of Yanic Wildschut who signed for the Canaries from Wigan.

The 25-year-old scored seven times in 62 appearances for Norwich, who signed the Ireland number ten in 2015.

Brady could make his debut this weekend when Burnley side travel to Watford.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa’s Ashley Westwood has also joined the Latics for a fee of £5 million on a three-and-a-half-year deal.

The midfielder has impressed since signing with Steve Bruce’s side in 2012, and has made 161 appearances for the Villians.

The 26-year-old is still eligible to play in the FA Cup with Sean Dyche’s team after missing out on Villa’s 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the third round.

"It's a fresh start and I want to show people what I can really do," Westwood told the BBC.

"I'm delighted to be here. It's happened fast but I've been made to feel very welcome and I can't wait to get going."

Southampton have purchased Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini for a fee of £14 million.

The 25-year-old signs a four-and-a-half-year deal, and bagged 15 goals in 55 league appearances for Napoli since his arrival from Sampdoria in 2015.

"One of my dreams was to perform in one of the biggest leagues in the world, so now that it's happening I can't wait to start playing," Gabbiadini said.

"The facilities that I have seen here are an incredible level - top-level standards even for Serie A. These are the sort of facilities that make you want to come here."

Watford have sold striker Odion Ighalo to Chinese side Changchun Yatai for a reported fee of reported £17.1m.

The 27-year-old joined the London outfit in 2014, and bagged an impressive 15 goals in last season’s Premier League campaign, but failed to replicate his form only scoring once this season.

Ighalo played 100 times in all competitions for the Hornets, scoring 39 goals.

Hull City have confirmed the signing of Andrea Ranocchia from Inter Milan on loan until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old could feature when Mike Phelan’s side visit Manchester United this Wednesday, and has been capped 21 times for Italy.

Since joining Inter in 2010, the defender has struggled to hold down a starting spot, and makes the move after an unsuccessful loan spell with Sampdoria last season.

The Italian is Hull’s sixth signing after the Tigers captured the signatures of Oumar NIasse, Evandro, Omar Elabdellaoui, Lazar Markovic and Markus Henriksen.

Crystal Palace have confirmed the signing of Serbia international Luka Milivojevic from Olympiakos on a three-and-a-half-year deal.

The 25-year-old started his career in Serbia, before moving to Greece and will provide Sam Allardyce with an extra option up-front.
