Djakadam and Douvan in Durkin mix

Djakadam heads the 13 possible runners in Sunday's John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase.

The seven-year-old landed the Grade One contest at the County Kildare venue 12 months ago and backed up the run by finishing second to Don Cossack in the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

He is joined in the entries by stable companion Douvan but trainer Willie Mullins has already nominated the Hilly Way Chase at Cork on the same afternoon as his likely target.

As well as Djakadam and Douvan, Mullins has left in Alechi Inois and Black Hercules, although the latter is also engaged in the Hilly Way Chase.

Gordon Elliott has left Outlander, Clarcam and Roi Des Francs in the field alongside the Henry de Bromhead-trained Sub Lieutenant and Gilgamboa, who was fourth in the Aintree Grand National, from Enda Bolger's yard.

Mouse Morris is currently double-handed with Mozoltov and Smashing, while Vincent Halley could saddle Arctic Skipper.

Kerry Lee's Kylemore Lough is the only British-trained horse still engaged in the two-and-a-half mile contest.

Meanwhile, Douvan could face up to 11 rivals in the Kerry Group Hilly Way Chase.

Unbeaten in ten starts for Willie Mullins, Douvan is almost certain to make his seasonal bow in the Grade Two after bypassing last weekend's Betfair Tingle Creek Chase and he could be joined in the contest by JLT Novices´ Chase Black Hercules.

Gilgamboa and Mozoltov also have the option of going for the Cork feature, while The Game Changer and Vukovar could take their chance for Gordon Elliott alongside Days Hotel from Henry de Bromhead's yard.

Normans Grove Chase winner Top Gamble and stable companion Grey Gold could make the trip to Cork for Kerry Lee with Stuart Crawford’s Fine Rightly, Andrew Lee’s Ludo Et Emergo and Toon River trained by Mary Louise Hallahan all standing their ground.
