Michael Donoghue is to carry on as Galway senior hurling manager for a further two years.
Donoghue succeeded Anthony Cunningham in 2015 and in his second season in charge he guided the Tribesmen to the All-Ireland title but just missed out on back-to-back Liam MacCarthy's when they were beaten by Limerick in the final in August.
As well as the All-Ireland crown, Galway have won two Leinster Championships and the Allianz Hurling League under Donoghue and the County Board ratified his appointment for a further two years at a meeting on Tuesday.
