Douvan has made it 13 wins from 13 starts under Willie Mullins' tutelage after romping to victory in the Boylesports Tied Cottage Chase at Punchestown.
The short-odds favourite for the Queen Mother Champion Chase took the initiative early on, reminding the three others in the race that he was going to take some stopping.
Ruby Walsh had an armchair ride as Douvan produced a foot-perfect display of jumping and powerful running, dominating this contest and easing home after Smashing was pulled up turning for home.
Realt Mor attempted to assemble some kind of challenge to the 1/14 favourite but Douvan cruised home to the easiest of victories, with Draycott Place in a distant third.
The win made it three from three this season and leaves Douvan well set for his assault on Cheltenham next month with Walsh paying tribute to his display afterwards.
"He just sauntered along at the front at his own speed, did his own thing and I gave him a squeeze at the second last, he jumped right out of the bridle," he told At The Races.
"He won as he liked - or how you would have expected him to really.
"He just has a huge amount of natural ability and is a pleasure to ride.
"Cork had a great crowd when he turned up there and then Leopardstown and here. He is a wonderful horse and it's great to see people coming out to watch him."
