Dozen rivals for Blue


Air Force Blue will face a dozen rivals in Saturday's Qipco 2000 Guineas.

Aidan O'Brien's colt has been at the head of the market for some time but the Dewhurst Stakes winner's odds were cut even further when Emotionless was ruled out of the race.

Ryan Moore will partner Air Force Blue in the feature while Seamie Heffernan will be aboard stable companion Air Vice Marshal, while Bravery and Shogun were both withdrawn at Thursday's 48-hour stage.

Godolphin may have lost Emotionless, but the famous silks will still be worn by the Mark Johnston-trained Buratino, Jim Bolger's Herald The Dawn and Ribchester from Richard Fahey's yard.

Dewhurst Stakes runner-up Massaat will take his chance for Owen Burrows alongside Peter Chapple-Hyam's Racing Post Trophy winner Marcel.

Stormy Antarctic, winner of the Craven Stakes earlier this month, will represent Ed Walker, while First Selection, Galileo Gold, Kentuckyconnection, Zhui Feng and Zonderland complete the field.
