Dublin face losing McCaffrey

Dublin could be without Footballer of the Year Jack McCaffrey for a large part of their All-Ireland championship defence.

McCaffrey may have to travel aboard if he opts to undertake an elective as part of his medical studies and if that is the case he could miss some of the All-Ireland championship.

Losing McCaffrey would come as a huge blow to Dublin as they are already without Rory O’Carroll for the 2016 campaign as he is planning to spend at least a year in New Zealand.

McCaffrey has already feature in two of Dublin's opening three Allianz Football League wins, while he captained UCD to Sigerson Cup glory last month.
