Dublin's US exodus rises to five

Four more players have confirmed they will be spending the summer in the USA rather than competing for a place in Dublin's All-Ireland Football Championship squad.

Shane Carthy of St Vincents, Ciarán Reddin of St Maurs, Emmett Ó Conghaile of Lucan Sarsfields and Shane Carthy of Naomh Mearnóg, will all make the move across the Atlantic this summer. They join Diarmuid Connolly of St Vincents in deciding to ply their trade outside of their home bases for that period of time, according to The Herald.

Connolly, who it's believed will play for a GAA club in either New York or Boston, is deemed to be the biggest loss by some way, with the five-time All-Ireland winner making a pivotal substitute appearance for Dublin in their All-Ireland final victory over Mayo last September.

However, St Vincents' Carthy also played twice in the league this season, including the final, and also featured three times in the 2017 Leinster Championship winning campaign.
