Burnley boss Sean Dyche says "quirky" new record signing Jeff Hendrick has settled well into life at Turf Moor.
The 24-year-old signed a three-deal with the Lancashire club on transfer deadline day, following a £10.5m transfer from Championship side Derby County.
Dyche says Hendrick, who joined Derby as a 16-year-old from St Kevin's Boys, does not seemed fazed at all by his change of club after eight years with the Rams.
The Dubliner came through the Derby academy, making his debut in April 2011, and went on to play 214 games for the club, netting 27 goals.
He made his first appearance for the Clarets last week, coming off the bench to play the final 15 minutes of the 1-1 draw with Hull City at Turf Moor on Saturday.
"It does take time for players to adapt to a new environment, he’s been at Derby since he was a kid," Dyche told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
"He’s been so used to that club but I think he’s enjoying it.
"He looks like he has a smile, wants to be part of it. We managed to get him a bit of time last week.
"It’s well-documented, the culture here. It’s quite clearly obvious there’s a good mindset here. He’s adapted to that very quickly.
"I like his character, I think the players like his character.
"He’s got a bit of a quirk to him and there’s a good bit of belief in him but there’s also that humbleness to stay part of the group and make sure that the team is stronger than the individuals.
"I don’t think he’s stereotypical of a footballer. He’s got a different streak in there.
"A nice bit of character, he’s got a bit of chirp in him but in a good way."
