Earls to return to training

Keith Earls is expected to return to training later this week as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury.

Earls withdrew from the squad ahead of Munster's draw away to Exeter earlier this month and subsequently sat out the win over Gloucester but he is set to return to training this week ahead of Saturday's Guinness PRO14 clash against Glasgow Warriors at Thomond Park.

Tommy O'Donnell sustained an ankle injury in the defeat of Gloucester and will undergo a scan to determine the extent of the injury, while Rhys Marshall is also set to have a scan on the hamstring injury he picked up during the game.

Dan Goggin, meanwhile, is to visit a specialist after he suffered a knee injury against Gloucester.

Niall Scannell missed the weekend's game after picking up an ankle knock in training and he will continue to be assessed by the medical department before a decision on his participation is made.

Elsewhere, Conor Murray remains unavailable as he battles a neck injury with Liam O’Connor (knee), Conor Oliver (toe), Jack O’Donoghue (knee), Dave O’ Callaghan (foot), James Hart (knee), Chris Farrell (knee), Ronan O’Mahony (ankle) and Calvin Nash (ankle) all sidelined.
