eir Sport has announced it is to broadcast Ireland clash with New Zealand on Saturday, November 5.
Ireland went agonisingly close to defeating New Zealand when the sides met at the Aviva Stadium in November 2013 and they will be hoping for a first-ever victory over the All Blacks when they meet in the 61,500-seater Soldier Field in Chicago in a one-off Test match.
However, the All Blacks will head to Chicago in good form after successfully defending their Rugby Championship title with five wins in a row.
Ireland v New Zealand will kick-off at 8pm Irish time.
eir Sport will also broadcast Munster's meeting with the Maori All Blacks at Thomond Park on Friday, November 11.
The fixtures will form part of a busy autumn of rugby on the eir Sport pack with the European Rugby Champions Cup kicking off on Friday, October 14.
“Following on from our 2019 Rugby World Cup rights announcement we are delighted to confirm more international rugby with New Zealand v Ireland live from Chicago on November 5th," Brian Quinn, Operations Director of eir Sport commented.
"It promises to be a fantastic occasion and really adds to our ever growing selection of rugby content. Along with the confirmation of the Conor McGregor title fight for November 12, this is more good news for eir Broadband bundle customers who can receive all this great sport for free.”
Conor McGregor will fight Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight belt at UFC 205 in New York on November 12 live on the eir Sport pack. The eir Sport pack is free to all eir broadband customers. To learn more about setting sport free visit www.eir.ie/sport .
