eir to show Brazil v Colombia
eir Sport is to broadcast live coverage of the International football friendly between Brazil and Colombia on Wednesday, January 25.
The match at Rio de Janeiro’s Engenhao Stadium has been organised to raise funds for the stricken Chapecoense football club and will take place on the same day that the club play their first game since the plane crash that killed 71 people.
Chapecoense players, directors and staff were killed when they plane in which they were travelling to the Copa Sudamericana final against Atletico Nacional crashed into a mountain outside Medellin. There were only six survivors.
Brazil coach Tite has called up local players for the fundraiser match with veteran forward Robinho included in the squad. Robinho has not played for Brazil since the 2015 Copa America.
The match will be live on eir Sport 1 with coverage getting underway at 23.15.
