Arsenal manager Unai Emery refused to be drawn on the injury that prevented Mesut Ozil from featuring in the 4-2 win over Tottenham on Sunday.
Ozil was ruled out of the game due to a back injury just over a week after he was an unused substitute in the 2-1 win over Bournemouth with Emery subsequently revealing that he did not feature because of the physicality of the match.
Emery was asked about Ozil's fitness in his post-match press conference on Sunday but remained coy about the injury.
"He has back ache," the manager said before admitting that he did not know whether or not the midfielder had even attended the game at the Emirates.
Arsenal travel to Old Trafford to play Manchester United on Wednesday night and Emery is keen to focus on the game.
“Now we are thinking of the match on Wednesday in Manchester,” he said. “We know it will be very difficult in Manchester, because of their history and their present, we are going to prepare in the best way possible, to have the best performance against them. It will be difficult, a big challenge for us.”
