Dundalk have been handed a tough draw in the group stages of the Europa League with Stephen's Kenny side in Group D along with Zenit St Petersburg, AZ Alkmaar and Maccabi Tel-Aviv.
Friday's draw means the League of Ireland side face two long away trips to Zenit St Petersburg and Maccabi Tel-Aviv as they look to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.
Robin van Persie is set to make a return to Old Trafford after Fenerbahce were drawn alongside Manchester United in Group A.
As well as the Turkish side, Jose Mourinho's men will face Feyenoord and Zorya Luhansk in the group stages.
Reacting to his side's draw, Mourinho said: "It is a good draw for us. We think we are in the Champions League. There are very similar groups in the Champions League. It is a difficult group but it is good. If you have teams without expression, even fans wouldn't enjoy Thursdays.
"We all know the competition is not the same as the Champions League but to have Manchester United playing against clubs with tradition like Fenerbahce and Feyenoord is good for us. I don't have more vision about Ukraine."
Southampton, meanwhile, have been drawn in Group K along with Inter Milan, Sparta Prague and Hapoel Beer-Sheva, who came close to knocking Celtic out of the Champions League in the play-off round.
