Willie Mullins has confirmed that both Faugheen and Min will miss next month's Cheltenham Festival through injury.
Faugheen, winner of the 2015 Champion Hurdle, missed last year's Festival after picking up an injury and he has not run since his win in the Irish Champion Hurdle in January 2016.
He had been due to run in last month's Irish Champion Hurdle but was ruled out on the eve of the race due to a muscle injury.
Mullins had been hopeful that he would be ready for the Festival but he has suffered a stress fracture which will prevent him from taking his chance in the March 14 feature.
"We had hoped Faugheen had just tweaked a muscle, but we've had it checked out and it's a stress fracture," Mullons explained.
Min, meanwhile, was ruled out of the Frank Ward Solicitors Arkle Novice Chase with a knee injury but a bone bruise will prevent him from running in the Arkle Trophy.
"Min has a bruise. Hopefully both will still make the track this season," the Irish champion trainer revealed.
Faugheen's injury comes just two weeks after last year's Champion Hurdle winner Annie Power was ruled out of the Festival.
