Firmino joins Reds squad for Germany trip

Roberto Firmino has travelled with the Liverpool squad for Thursday's Europa League quarter-final first-leg clash against Borussia Dortmund.

Firmino was considered to be a major doubt for the trip to Germany after he sat out Saturday's 1-1 draw with Tottenham with a hamstring injury.

However, he joined his team-mates on the flight to Germany on Wednesday and is expected to train at the Westfalenstadion before a decision on his participation is made.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp Bundesliga titles, one DFB-Pokal and reached the Champions League final during a seven-year spell in charge of Dortmund and his successor Thomas Tuchel has warned the German will not go easy on his former side.

"Anything else but a warm welcome for Jurgen Klopp will be a surprise," Tuchel said at a press conference on Wednesday.

"From the moment the whistle goes Jurgen Klopp will want nothing else than to win. And we too."
