Davy Fitzgerald would like to remain at the helm of the Clare senior hurlers but will take some time before making a decision on his future.
Fitzgerald first took charge of the Banner County at the end of 2011 and in his first full season in charge he guided the team to the top flight of the Allianz Hurling League.
Despite undergoing minor heart surgery in the build-up to Clare's All-Ireland SHC quarter-final clash with Galway, Fitzgerald was on the sideline as his side lot to the Tribesmen and he has intimated that he is keen to carry on for another year.
“I am interested in staying managing, I love it, I really, really do,” Fitzgerald told the Irish Daily Star.
“There is a lot of miles left on the clock yet so I’ll see what happens. Energy hasn’t been great the last few weeks but it will come back, so it will.
“I am going to take a bit of time out. I’ve been very relaxed, playing a small bit of golf, I just want to take a bit of time out.”
