Everton defender Ramiro Funes Mori is likely to miss the rest of the season as a result of the injury he sustained while on international duty.
Funes Mori was forced off after just 36 minutes of Argentina's 2-0 defeat to Bolivia after appearing to suffer a knee injury and scans have confirmed that he sustained a torn meniscus.
The 26-year-old will meet with a specialist next week to assess the best course of treatment but Everton have confirmed that he is unlikely to play again this season.
"It has been confirmed that the defender suffered a torn meniscus in Argentina's 2-0 defeat to Bolivia on Tuesday evening," a statement from the club read.
"He will have a surgical opinion next week but the initial diagnosis suggests the 26-year-old is likely to be out of action for the rest of the campaign."
The Toffees have also lost Seamus Coleman for the foreseeable future after he suffered a double-;eg fracture while playing for the Republic of Ireland with James McCarthy aggravating a hamstring injury in the warm-up to the same game.
