Steven Gerrard has insisted that the "whole league" will be hoping that Liverpool can beat leaders Chelsea on Tuesday evening.
The former Reds skippers feels a win for Antonio Conte’s side will wrap up the title, and fears for his former side if Chelsea get a positive result.
Liverpool, and Jurgen Klopp will look to turn around a disastrous week, which has seen them lose three games at Anfield in the space of a week.
"If they lose the match, it’s game over in terms of the title race," Gerrard told BT Sport.
"That’s why everyone will have a Liverpool shirt come Tuesday night, because Tottenham, Man United, Arsenal and Man City will all be looking for that small glimmer of hope. The whole league needs a win for Liverpool.
"I know how big the game is for the club because the gap is already 10 points and they must give themselves a bit of hope by taking all the points.
"Anything else and it’s advantage Chelsea – and it would be a massive advantage. They have only dropped 11 points since the start of the season – and I also think they could improve in the second half of the season.
"If they win at Anfield, I would be very surprised if they didn’t go on to become champions."
