West Brom boss Tony Pulis has admitted that his hunt to sign Arenal’s Kieran Gibbs is over after the Gunners rejected the Baggiest latest effort.
The Midlands club put £10m on the table for Gibbs, which was rejected by the London club as not meeting the necessary requirements for the left-back.
Speaking after West Brom’s 2-0 loss to Crystal Palace in the Asia Trophy today, Pulis said: “We won’t be signing Kieran Gibbs.
“We have to look for players that fit what we want to do and the way we want to play.
“We have three or four other targets we are desperate for.
“We are juggling with two at the moment and that’s not Gibbs.
“Hopefully by the time we get back home we will have done those two.”
Gibbs, now third choice at the Gunners, behind Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac, will likely still be a target for a number of other clubs this summer, and no doubt will be keen to leave given his battle for first-team action next season.
