Gilroy, Murphy and Foley join Ireland squad

Dave Foley, Jordi Murphy and Craig Gilroy have been called into the Ireland squad ahead of Saturday's RBS Six Nations game against England.

The trio will come in for Mike McCarthy, Sean O'Brien and Dave Kearney, who have all been ruled out of the tournament through injuries, while Cian Healy and Mike Ross return to the squad after proving their fitness with Leinster.

Tadgh Furlong and Rob Herring miss out due to thigh muscle injuries and will remain with their respective provinces.

Head coach Joe Schmidt has intimated he will tinker with his side for the final three games with less familiar faces set to be given the opportunity to impress the management team and there are four uncapped players in the squad - Finlay Bealham, Ultan Dillane, Josh van der Flier and Stuart McCloskey.
