Giroud leads Arsenal fightback

Swansea win at Palace, Stoke beat Watford

Olivier Giroud set up two goals, and headed an injury-time equaliser, as Arsenal fought back from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 with Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

The point leaves Arsenal in fourth in the Premier League table, eight points behind leaders Chelsea, although Antonio Conte's team can extend the gap to 11 points with victory at Tottenham on Wednesday.

Bournemouth were cruising at 3-0 up with 20 minutes to go, but the visitors, inspired by Giroud, fought back to secure an unlikely point against a ten-man Bournemouth side clinging on for dear life at the final whistle.

The Cherries opened the scoring on 16 minutes when Charlie Daniels took advantage of some poor defending by Hector Bellerin to take down Junior Stanlislas' diagonal pass and drill the ball beyond Petr Cech.

And Eddie Howe's side doubled the lead four minutes later from Callum Wilson's penalty, awarded for a brainless Granit Xhaka trip on Ryan Fraser on the left-hand edge of the penalty area.

It got worse for Arsenal as Fraser netted the third just before the hour-mark, the Scottish winger outmuscling Bellerin to Daniels' pass down the left channel, before scuffing a shot past Cech at the near post.

Alexis Sanchez pulled one back on 70 minutes with his 13th goal of the Premier League season, and Arsenal's first attempt on target, with a far-post header following a Olivier Giroud flicked header from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's cross.

And substitute Lucas Perez brilliantly opened his Premier League account for Arsenal's second five minutes later, a brilliant volley from Giroud's clever round-the-corner pass.

Bournemouth were rocking now, and things got even tougher when Cherries' skipper Simon Francis was shown a straight red card for a scissor tackle on Sanchez on 84 minutes.

And Giroud completed an unlikely comeback in the second minute of injury-time with a deft header from Xhaka's cross.

Substitute Angel Rangel hit an 88th-minute winner, as Swansea City beat Crystal Palace 2-1 to move off the bottom of the Premier League table.

Alfie Mawson gave Swansea the lead with a header from Gylfi Sigurdsson's free-kick just before the interval, but Wilfried Zaha seemed to have secured Sam Allardyce's side a point with an 83th-minute volley.

However, Angel netted an 88th-minute winner from Leroy Fer's pass to end Swansea's six-match losing streak in style.

Stoke City ended a five-match winless run with a 2-0 victory over Watford at the Bet 365 Stadium.

Ryan Shawcross volleyed the opener in first-half injury time from Charlie Adam's corner, and Peter Crouch doubled the lead four minutes into the second half with his second goal in successive games, following after an 18-month goal drought going back to May 2015.
