Manchester City will work with Joe Hart to ensure he finds the best option for his future, manager Pep Guardiola has said.
Hart has been told that he is free to leave the club after managing just one appearance in the club's first four matches of the season.
Having missed out to Willy Caballero in the opening three games, Hart was named in goal for Wednesday's Champions League play-off against Steaua Bucharest, with many believing it was a farewell appearance for the England number one.
Hart's £130,000 per week salary and prohibitive asking price have seen Everton and Sevilla rule themselves out of the running to sign the player but Guardiola has assured him that they will work to find him a solution.
"We want the best for [Hart]," said Guardiola. "The club will help him find the best option."
Guardiola has repeatedly said that he does not have an issue with Hart and he insists he will not treat him differently if he fails to secure a move away before the transfer deadline.
"I will treat him like anyone if he stays, I will be fair," Guardiola told his weekly press conference.
City completed the signing of goalkeeper Claudio Bravo from Barcelona in midweek but he will have to wait to make his debut with Caballero set to start in goal against Manchester City on Sunday.
"Bravo is fit but he’s not going to play this weekend. He has a lot of experience in Spain and in the national team," the manager said.
