Pep Guardiola has no intention of changing his style of play despite Manchester City's recent run of poor results.
Having initially impressed under the former Barcelona and Bayern Munch coach, City are without a win in the Premier League since September and back-to-back defeats have left them seven points adrift of leaders Chelsea.
Guardiola accepts the last few weeks have not been good for the club but he is adamant he will not change his tactics
"No. No way. We are going to play the way I feel," Guardiola said when asked about a potential change of style.
"I believe in the way I like to play, I am sorry. If I cannot do that, the chairman will decide. But there's no way I will change."
He went on: "Of course I have to adapt (to the Premier League), but that doesn't mean I change the way I believe. You have to play in this kind of way. It's the best way.
"I thought maybe it would be (a) shorter (time) to adapt, but I am pretty sure it will happen. If people want me to fail, there's nothing I can say.
"Here you have to control the second ball. Without that you cannot survive. We were able to do it earlier in the season.
“The results, the last four games at home, I cannot defend that. I have to improve what I believe, but when it doesn’t work you have to accept that because you don’t win. I wish, I hope they give me a little bit more time to try.”
