Arsenal have completed the signing of Spanish forward Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna.
Perez has been linked with the Gunners for some time and on Friday manager Arsene Wenger confirmed that the club were close to agreeing a deal for the striker.
The 27-year-old, who scored 19 goals in all competition, had been a target for Everton but he has signed a long-term deal to move to the Emirates.
"He’s not only a goalscorer, he’s a guy who combines well with partners, who can give a final ball and makes good runs. He’s got a good eye for goal and had an outstanding season last year," Wenger told the club's official website.
Lucas began his career in Spain with Atletico Madrid C before enjoying spells with Rayo Vallecano, Karpaty Lviv in Ukraine and PAOK in Greece. He returned to Spain in 2014 to join up with Deportivo La Coruna and last season scored in seven successive games for the club.
