Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink was very impressed with his side’s performance as they booked their place in the FA Cup fifth round with a 5-1 victory over the MK Dons.
The Blues were simply brilliant on the day as they brushed aside their Championship opponents and Hiddink was delighted with the quality shown by his side.
"We are delighted. The concentration against the big teams is always high but these games you have to be well prepared mentally. They got even but we reacted very well," said Hiddink.
"What I asked in the beginning is when they made the contribution to be champions last year? I wanted the contribution they did then. I asked the players 'what did you do? Let's try to go back to what your basic skills are.'"
And the Chelsea boss was particularly impressed with hat-trick hero Oscar.
"Oscar is playing with a smile on his face and that's what I like with the players when they know their obligations and they do it."
MK Dons manager Karl Robinson admitted that he was disappointed with the heavy defeat, but he accepted that Chelsea were almost unplayable on the day.
"This was a free game for us but I'm disappointed as well, I thought we were poor. We almost caused our own problems at times in the game."
"It was scary. I've not had that before. They were on it. They were quality all over the pitch. I think one or two of mine let themselves down today but that's the reality of the industry. I have a team to pick to face Cardiff and there are one or two who will be waiting in the wings.
"Defensively today we got carved up far too easy. But there's some stuff we can take away from here and work on."
